CherryPlucker ("we", "the app") helps delivery drivers decide which orders to take. This policy explains what the app accesses, how that information is used, and โ just as important โ what we never do with it. We built the app to read the screen you already look at, not to log into your delivery accounts.
What the app accesses
- On-screen offer details. When a delivery offer appears, the app reads the visible text on that screen โ pay, distance, time, the store, and the drop-off area. When that text can't be read reliably, the app may instead capture an image of the screen and read it. This offer information is sent to third-party AI services (see "Who we share it with") to calculate your dollars-per-mile and dollars-per-hour and give you a TAKE/SKIP verdict.
- Location. Used to track your driving mileage during a shift (a foreground service keeps this running while you drive, with an ongoing notification), to tag the offers you evaluate, and โ when demand-sharing is on โ to periodically send location points so the app can show where demand is building. You can turn location off in your device settings at any time, and turn off demand-sharing in the app's Settings.
- Information you enter and generate. Your pay/earnings, tips, expenses, vehicle and (optional) insurance details, the targets you set, an optional name, and the messages you send to the in-app AI copilot. Some of this is sent to AI services to generate coaching; if cloud backup is on, it is also stored on our servers.
- A pseudonymous app identifier and your subscription status. A random install ID (not your name or email, but a stable identifier) and whether you're in a trial or subscribed, so your settings and entitlement work across sessions. Combined with location or usage over time, a stable identifier can be identifying, so we treat it as personal data.
We do not ask for or store your DoorDash, Uber, Grubhub, or other platform login. The app never signs into your delivery accounts. Cloud backup and demand-sharing are off by default; you can turn either on in the app's Settings.
How the Accessibility Service is used
CherryPlucker uses Android's Accessibility Service for a single purpose: to read the delivery-offer screen you're looking at so it can estimate the offer's value and show you a verdict. To do this it reads the text โ and, when that text can't be read reliably, an image โ of the screen while a supported delivery app is in the foreground, and sends that offer content to our third-party AI providers to generate the verdict. It is advisory only: it never accepts or declines orders, never logs into your delivery accounts, and is never used for advertising, nor is the content sold. You can disable the Accessibility Service for the app at any time in your device's Accessibility settings, which turns off automatic offer reading.
How we use the information
- To produce your TAKE/SKIP verdicts and earnings-per-mile / per-hour estimates.
- To track your earnings, mileage, and expenses, and to coach and reposition you.
- To operate your subscription and free trial.
- To improve the accuracy of the app's estimates.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- AI providers (e.g. Anthropic, Cerebras, Google) โ to evaluate an offer's value and generate coaching, we send offer text and, where relevant, screen images and your driver context (such as earnings, mileage, and vehicle details). These providers process the data to return a result and may retain it for a limited period under their own terms; they do not use it to build an advertising profile of you.
- Google โ Maps/Places (to identify nearby stores, gas, and destinations) and Google Play Billing (to manage your subscription).
- Our backend host (Supabase) โ to store your settings, history, and subscription status securely.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention & security
CherryPlucker does not use accounts โ the data we hold is keyed to your random install ID. We keep it while you use the app and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it; you can request deletion at any time (see below). Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
How to delete your data
CherryPlucker, from CherryPlucker LLC, does not require an account — your data is tied only to a random, pseudonymous install ID on your device (not your name or email, but a stable identifier). To request deletion:
- Email support@cherryplucker.com with the subject "Delete my data," and, if you still have the app, include your install ID (shown in the app's Settings) so we can locate the exact data tied to your install.
- We delete the data associated with your app install within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What is deleted: your shift and mileage logs, delivery and earnings history, logged offers and their locations, your install ID, and your subscription/entitlement record on our servers. What is kept: aggregated, de-identified demand data that can no longer be linked to you, and any records we must retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. Uninstalling the app immediately removes everything stored locally on your device.
Your choices
- Turn off the Accessibility Service or Location permission in your device settings at any time.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play (or the App Store on iOS).
- Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing us (below).
Children
CherryPlucker is for delivery drivers and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
